Tuileries Garden (Jardin des Tuileries) Circa 1890-1900

Located between the Louvre Museum and the Place de la Concorde in the 1st arrondissement, the once-private gardens were created for the Tuileries Palace by Catherine de Medicis in 1564.  Tuileries Palace, which once enclosed the Louvre’s courtyard, no longer exisits. The park was opened to the public in 1667.
